TeamFourStar Just Can't Catch a Break [News]
As originally reported on Lanipator's blog, TeamFourStar's second FAQ video has been taken down from their secondary YouTube account which was started after the original account was banned earlier this year. This leaves the account hosting nothing but a single video of voice over the TFS logo explaining that the account exists.
We'll continue to update as things develop, but in the meantime those of us with fewer than 37,000 subscribers can reflect that sometimes, there's a certain comfort in obscurity.

ReplyDelete-Although at the same time, when you have much less than that (and I mean MUCH less than that), it CAN get a bit disheartening.
They need to talk to Unwardil. He has a lot of good tips about how to get around the YouTube copyright stuff.
ReplyDeleteHbi, can you tell them that from me? ^.^
Juukuchi - No argument, it's just good to look on the bright side sometimes. (-:
ReplyDeleteYeeeeeah....
ReplyDelete(Unwardil here btw)
All my tricks unfortunately involve lowering the quality of the video and/or audio in so fashion which I doubt Kaiser would resort to unless it was an absolute last resort, perfectionist that he is. They're tricks that'll beat the automated detection systems but I don't think DBZA was registering on any of them and they won't beat the tried and true 'jerk finds video and hits flag for trolling kicks' detection system.
What will forever bother me is this: Is not the anime industry supposedly struggling? And yet, Toei has the opportunity here to make (however small) a bit of money simply by accnowledging the property and plastering it with youtube adds... Yet, they choose to pull it... Why? Yes yes, there's copy write laws, but technically it's in another country and you can get around inconvenient laws that benefit neither side simply by clapping your hands over your ears and going lalalalalala...
Ah well, it's no skin off my nose if Toei goes under from unimaginitive buisness practices, I only like thier stuff in parody form anyway.
Of all the anime companies in all of Japan, Toei is NOT known for being the most forward-thinking. (-: Pity they got the rights to adapt so much great manga.
